Listen To Mahathir.

That's right. Listen to Mahathir. There is no need to have an in-depth study of the proposal by Sime Darby for its bid to acquire a stake in IJN. The Cabinet must know that IJN is for the rakyat only. It is not a commodity like sugar or tea. The Cabinet must tell Sime Darby to take its money elsewhere to invest. Better still, tell them to invest in another IJN. They can name it IJN2. This is a win win situation. Everybody stands to gain. The rakyat would be happy. The investors would be happy too. So I hope the Cabinet must not be two-faced about this.

The Government has made a series of costly blunders. The rakyat have sufferred. The rakyat are an unhappy lot. So the Goverment must be wise now. You are not newly-weds. You have the experience, the expertise. Now you have to do what is right for the rakyat. Make the rakyat happy. When the rakyat are happy you stand to gain in the long run.

Look at Mahathir. He may be out of the Cabinet but surely he is 'in' with the rakyat. I may not agree with him on some of the things he had done when he was the prime minister. But nobody can deny he had brought a lot of changes to the country. Cabinet, swallow whatever pride that's left and seek his advice. That's nothing to be ashamed off. We are, after all, human. Do not be pretentious. Remember this. Pride goes before a fall.
