IJN- Not For The Faint-Hearted.

Are they serious? The Government wants to sell a stake to the highest bidder presumably to Sime Darby Bhd. It's preposterous isn't it? It doesn't make sense really. The Government is just taking the easy way out. Look at the other privatizations. Have we really benefit from them? All privatised companies want to make money. There is no such thing as social obligations. If they do not make money they will have to answer to the investors. Every Tom, Dick or Harry knows that. Got money beres. Got no money you habis!

Before any take over their proposal sounds too good to be true. The proposal would be carefully worded so as to give everybody the impression that after the privatization everyone would benefit. I don't think so. Look at PLUS, Syabas,Telekoms and many others. Are we really happy with them? The services rendered leaves much to be desired. The Government should have listened, must listen and must continue to listen to us, the rakyat. Do not take us for a ride.

A word of cosolation. Heard on the news that the purportedly take over bid by Sime Darby Bhd. has been put on hold indefinitely by our Deputy Prime Minister. Can our DPM muster enough wisdom and courage to scrape the whole illogical idea put forth by Sime Darby Bhd. Let us wait and see.
