So, who needs a brilliant mind to know that the strategic collaboration (if there’s one) between Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and AirAsia will work to everyone’s advantage?
Let’s clear the air. There can never be two tigers on the mountain. One has to concede, which one? Your guess is as good as mine.
For the high fliers stop putting on airs. Look at the broader aspect of this collaboration and not at your “ego-collaboration”! Of course your plan is still up in the air. Nobody has decided on anything yet!
Working with other international airlines is not something new for our national carrier. To survive in this competitive “world of flying” what choice does it has? It has absolutely no choice! But to the other local carrier, it would eventually “vanish into thin air”!
What makes you think our airlines will co-operate when there were grouses and complaints long before someone up there wants them to “start afresh”! Are we kidding ourselves?
Can the clarion call be accepted with alacrity? If the answer is a ‘yes’, then everyone will “walk on air”.
So, Sir Richard Branson, which uniform are you going to don, come February 14,2011, Malaysia Airlines or AirAsia’s?

Everything Kills!
Tell me, who doesn’t complain nowadays? The noose around our neck is getting tighter and tighter! Housewives, office workers, students and now even teachers are complaining. Everything is killing!
Many are heavily burdened with problems of making ends meet! With prices of almost everything escalating, who doesn’t worry? Many are increasingly disenchanted with the present government.
See, I’m a real doubting Thomas even when the government says everything is “on the rebound”. I do not yet see any positive indicator on that.
The list of complaints has been far too many and far too long. Many are downhearted as things will not get any better any sooner.
And instead of “enjoying the hurly-burly” debates on politics, the government must task itself to overcome these problems immediately. Many are impatient and patience has its limits!
Insufficient action will kill you too!

Red Tide!
We saw yet another “red tide” in the city yesterday afternoon. Some 4,200 protesters were trying to bulldoze their way into the Istana Negara to hand over a memorandum over the Selangor water issue to the King.
It happened because we have clowns and jesters who stoically claimed to have the interest of the rakyat at heart. Many of us would be laughing our heads off because clowns and jesters are for entertainment only- not to be taken seriously.
Political meddling would only aggravate matters more! With both sides refusing to compromise, I’m sure the impasse cannot be resolved. This long-standing impediment has ire the Sultan of Selangor. His Majesty is not alone.
As likely as not, these clowns and jesters must have forgotten where their responsibilities lie! They must take the long view. Do not stay in the circus too long! Both sides must come to the negotiating table and solve the “murky” problem! That is the only way! There is no other way!

Who's Next?
First, the police, then, the immigration and now the Road Transport Department (JPJ).
It wasn’t a smooth drive for two JPJ men and three others who were arrested for allegedly soliciting money from individuals and companies for an event that did not take place!
“Forced” sponsorship did not go down well with many and those muddle-headed halfwits eventually met with dead-ends! Too late to reverse!
More than half a million ringgit were collected and now what’s left is a paltry RM4,000! Gone in 60 seconds!
It wouldn’t be far-fetched to say many salaried civil servants live beyond their means! Many reaped considerable rewards for their “work”! Strike while the iron is hot! And nothing is secretive anymore! Everything is out in the open! And an “open sesame” is about the easiest way to “fill one’s coffer”!
For those halfwits who want to make a fast buck I suggest we provide them with the offertory boxes. This way, nobody would be able to question them. So, is anyone interested in providing them these boxes? You can roughly guess how much you will make! Tender is now open.

An Immigration Bestseller!
I harbour no ill-feelings with the Immigration Department (ID). But when some muddle-headed halfwits in the ID start giving excuses of unwarranted escapes by foreigners who are being deported then something must be seriously wrong somewhere!
The story of the recent escape of two Nigerian nationals who were being deported has left a bad impression for the ID.
To escape the “hangman’s noose”, the two halfwits cooked-up a “bestseller”! There were so many excuses and at the end, their two plus two doesn’t add up to four! And if they keep that up, it will lead to difficulty later! Their arguments completely disregard the facts! There was simply no elemental truth in their story!
The rules and regulations of the ID are basically elementary and when that (the escape) happened what more can one say about the halfwits attitude and commitment in the course of carrying out their duties?
It was an extremely embarrassing incident that shouldn’t have happened in the first place! And the police must not hold out on the rakyat! We want the truth.

Lift The Ban!
No more hornbills to watch! No more crossing the Rajang River! Why?
Of late, many Malaysians are becoming increasingly disenchanted with the unceasing abuse of power from the higher-ups! Many with their (the higher-ups) moralistic attitude and more often than not, their befuddled and depraved minds, are always trying to push their weight around! How annoying and please, don’t push your luck too far, too often!
A Malaysian banned from entering another Malaysian state is one of the many calamities of this country and the problem is aggravated by a lack of understanding! Could that state be fed with too many false presumptions? The ban was imposed in 1994after the activist went on a fact-finding mission of the Penan and the ban has not been lifted ever since! And without a proper appreciation of this problem, I’m sure nothing would be solved!
Targeting the rakyat with your draconian steps and measures would put you at a disadvantage and this would eventually drag you down. Sadly, your ephemeral power would then disappear in a blink of an eye! Thanks to your blinkered attitude!
Go easy on the rakyat! Do not raise your hand on the “good and harmless” and do not send them “to the guillotine” at your whim and fancy. You will be judged by the rakyat and on one fine day, you’ll be “returned the favour”! There will be a backlash! Make no mistake about that!

Indubitably Malaysian!
I would like to congratulate Tan Zhongshan, a fellow Malaysian who is the “talk of the town” for his outstanding achievements at Cambridge University. The world knew him as a Malaysian but can we say that in this country?
Just a wild guess - his success would not go down well with some people especially for the halfwits who look only after their own flock. Do we still want these politicians and school principals around?
I remembered how I leapt for joy when our “spaceman” succeeded in his mission, albeit with a little help! But my joy was short-lived because he said he was proud as a “non non-Malay” instead of a Malaysian to achieve such a feat!
And the silliest of all must be some halfwits from the national car maker! I hope they would not be accused of “plagiarism” when they tried to pass off a rebadged Japanese car as their own!
After more than two decades some countries would be building warships and rockets! But our national locomotive people are still scratching their heads trying to come up with something to call their own! And now it is the skyscraper!
Kinabatangan does not want us to be the laughing stock of the world, again! New things excite! He knows better – ask him!
If we are fighting for a place in the sun, we need to do that on our own. We simply cannot be a “penumpang”(piggy-ride)! Let’s not keep up with the pretence any longer than it already is. We must show the world, tell the world - Malaysia Boleh!

100- why not 200?
Isn’t that another tall vision with another upcoming skyscraper in the near future? And to spend an astronomical RM5billion on “sand, cement and mortar” would be way out of the budget! But who cares, it’s the rakyat’s money after all! No big deal!
After its completion, it will be the latest pride of the country for sometime! Let’s not forget this - in the course of time, it would just be another building!
With that amount of money many other viable projects can be carried out. Why don’t you build another “looong” hospital and upgrade everything? Have more doctors to attend to us and more dispensers so that we would not have to wait for hours on end for just a strip of panadol! That is not too much to ask, right?
Do get your priorities right! Why not give us more schools and universities with better facilities and I’m sure in the next GE, you will have a better chance to stay in power. Isn’t that what you want in the first place?
It is impossible to “reach the sky” but it would not be impossible to bring down the ever escalating prices of everything! Many of us are grumbling and suffering! Forget “heights” and be ready to plant your feet firmly on the ground and hear the pleas of ours! This is what we want!

Post To Nowhere.
Please Mr. Postman, I trust you have settled all my utility bills with the water and electric companies. Yes? No?
And three female clerks from the Batu Ferringhi Post Office were picked up by the police for fraudulent activities. Are they not worthy of trust anymore? The silliness of these three muddle-headed halfwits has placed them in hot soup!
Their ride on the “gravy train” was abruptly stopped when customers accused them of criminal breach of trust! Swift action must be taken and if they are guilty then punishment has to be meted out accordingly.
The Post Office is here to serve and all staffs must observe the rules punctiliously. And it is not an excuse to say that the Batu Feringgi Post Office was outsourced to third party operators and the “real” Post Office cannot be held responsible.
Sadly, we are all human and we can’t change human nature, right? And it would be a deeply humiliating defeat for them (the “real” Post Office) if they readily admitted to that fraud!

Please, Not Him!
Truth is, no by-election is easy nor tough. And I just don’t understand why Barisan Nasional (BN) turned yellow at the slightest intimidation from the Opposition!
Make full use of your arsenal and fight “man to man”! Win or lose is part and parcel of politics! There is no time to be frightened or be at a loss. Play your card right and you will triumph.
Do not choose a “time-worn” figure. Forget Ku Li for this Galas state by-election. Old face does not excite anymore! I’m sure he’s “over the hill” and let him stay there. Let him rest. He earned that.
Why be timorously afraid and unsettled? There are so many young potential politicians at your disposal. They must be given the opportunity to prove themselves. It’s high time you stop fooling yourself and get down to serious business! And the time is ripe for these young politician’s voices be heard!
Look at the lesson that was given to you when someone from your coalition refused to “relinquished his throne”! You were warned but you did not heed!
Now is the iPhone 4 rave, not the “ring ring” phone. And if you cannot be sure what will happen you must just trust to chance! You have to take chances! A faint heart does not win a fair lady. I trust a simple and sincere effort goes a long way.

The Hunters.
Animals are animals but those muddle-headed halfwits from the Kuala Langat District Council (KLDC) are worse than them! The wanton destruction of the nine dogs recently did not go down well with many people.
Let’s give them a medal each for their recent kills! There were so many options but those muddle-headed halfwits were found wanting! They were supposed to carry out their work professionally but that was not to be. They just mowed down the nine dogs without hesitation! Their siege mentality would likely put the KLDC in bad light.
Those muddle-headed halfwits insubstantial arguments were nothing but flimsy excuses to take the easy way out on those poor dogs. And this unforgivable act of brazen savagery is not only seen in KLDC but also in many local councils in many states!
Their brash and abrasive styles would make them very unpopular and this would not augur well for them and the present government. See the bigger picture?

The Bakun Dam(ned).
The news of the Bakun dam gave many a nasty jolt! The dam has not even been flooded but Peninsula Malaysia was already “drowned”!
It is another “promised plan” shelved! Peninsula Malaysia is in the dark after this unexpected and unexplained “electric shock”! Some one would be accused of hypocrisy and mendacity!
Truth is, Sarawak have put a stranglehold on somebody! And Peninsula states cannot afford to build large dams so the best option would be a nuclear plant! A smart move. Now we know everything was planned a long time ago! And a “dam” good strategic planning at that!
It was a strategically important move to take to please the people in the “land of the hornbills” and with that, Peninsula suffers! Truthfully, this is the strait-jacket of repressive development! Somebody is not playing straight with us. We need straightforward answers and not lame excuses!
Isn’t it a little strange to see us “in deep water” after all the hyped about Bakun. Now everything simply “disappears into the deep waters”!

Murderers And Millionaires.
Kudos to Malaysia’s “mata mata” (police) for their meticulous and painstaking investigation that resulted in the prompt arrest of the murderous, millionaire monster, his brother and his henchmen! Their arrests were deathblows for them (the criminals).
Initially, many of us were horrified but with the police achieving some measure of success with the arrests, that brought much relief for many.
These murder mysteries must be wrapped up fast to pacify the many madden souls! With malice aforethought, these murderous monsters must be made to pay heavily for their heinous crimes! They have inadvertently signed their own death-warrants and if they’re found guilty then they will all be going to an early grave!
The police must make full use of their arsenal to indict these monsters and they cannot have any margin for error! The police must not allow these monsters to circumvent “an escape route”! It would be disastrous!

Spilling The Beans.
The new Inspector –General of Police(IGP),Tan Sri Ismail Omar has “spilled the beans” on the force for their lackadaisical approach to the many “missing people” reports! Will this spillage further damage the integrity of the force?
The IGP admittedly disclosed that many of the reports were not taken seriously. How true and how sad that is. And it is time for the force to “mop up the spillage” and they are honour bound to uphold their pledge! The force must get to the bottom of “all reports”. No reports must be sidelined!
All the rakyat need is a bit of honest-to-goodness hard work from the force. Inexcusable delays, rudeness or the “tidak apa” attitude will not be tolerated and these will inevitably put them in bad light!
The IGP, now in the saddle has to make sure everyone in the force buckle down! Many events have severely dented the force’s image and it is only right for the IGP to “undent” them!
Scratches on the surface can be disguised with polish but how do we disguise the fact that the force has not been up to par? “Allegations” of the IGP cannot be dismissed as ridiculous. Something is not right somewhere and it is time for the IGP to right the wrong!
The rakyat do not want to see a display of prejudice! Prejudicial actions will cause more harm than good! To put it simply; the rakyat want to be treated equally and fairly. To fight injustice and not a victim of injustice!

An A+ For PLUS.
For those using the North-South Expressway from Sept 9 to 19 you’re in for a smooth drive simply because one halfwit has given the green light for drivers to use the emergency lanes at seven stretches along the expressway.
Let’s give an A+ to PLUS for their utmost concern. This must be a real “plus drive”. The only way for the “breakdowns” to be safe is to “give way” by going “over the side”.
What absurdity! It’s foolish, ridiculous and outright stupid! Please, we have more than enough of halfwits and dumb-bells around! There will be a “lot of acceleration” in these lanes and many things can happen at any time. And this begs an answer; what would the insurance companies say if vehicles in the emergency lanes met with accidents? Everybody knows that emergency lanes are NOT regular lanes!
So, before I use the emergency lane, I want to find out first about the “accident thing” because I’m extremely abysmally ignorant about such things! Can someone enlighten me?

Of Ganyang,Sayang And Goyang.
If you ask me what “Bendera” stands for, I’ll tell you this; It’s just a bunch of hooligans out merely to impress the world with their implicit assumption that our country (Malaysia) has given them “a lot of headaches”. Who are they trying to hoodwink?
How quickly have they forgotten that when Acheh was “another Atlantis, buried under gallons of water” in 2004, Malaysians were the first to render assistance to them. At that time, they were full of praise for us. We shared their grief. We shared their sorrow. And what happens now?
Now they pooh-poohed us! Is this the way they show us their gratitude? Their constant pejorative remarks about us would not augur well for our bilateral relations. Their myopic attitude is a curious blend of stupidity and naivety! Their actions and their motives remained a complete mystery to me!
Now they want to “ganyang” (crush) us. But the truth is; for many Indonesians who work in our country they know many of us “sayang” (love) them. Why must we “goyang” (feel frighten) with their empty threats?
Sadly, all their harsh words and anomalous actions would eventually tell on them. These are signs of encroaching madness! The hatred flamed up within them have to be extinguished fast before the fire gets out of control!
We harbour no animosity toward them but they chose to think differently! Of course we are annoyed with them for their insensitive remarks and actions! Who wouldn’t! Lest they forget; gone were the days of the “caveman era”. Now is the “gentleman’s era”!

To Sir With Love.
Let’s do a headcount. Exactly, how many more heads are there in our schools that are in league with those two dumb-bells? I bet there are many more. They are probably not caught, not yet anyway! Not convinced? Then let’s toss a coin and “heads”, I win!
Think with your head, not with your heart! Sadly, this thought never entered your head! Don’t try to be a racial thug- you’re only bashing your head against a brick wall! And if you’re adamant about your way, then you ought to have your head examined!
I have been wondering all along who’s been putting those vulgar ideas into your head! You’re surely heading for trouble! Believe this, it would be a splitting headache if we have confronting heads in schools! The schools would be making little headway or none at all if we do not put a stop to all these nonsense right away!

Off-Season.
A father and his two sons were found guilty committing incestuous crime and were jailed a total of 152 years!
The victim was a daughter to that sob father and a sister to the two sob brothers! The abuse started from December 2006 to November 2008 when the disabled daughter was just an innocent twelve year- old girl!
So heinous were their crimes that incapacitating their “manhood” would be the only solution! They’re there but they would not “be there” whenever they want to “use” them! Better than castration! This punishment would put a real damper on them! This is what I call a “slow, permanent damage”! A tit for tat!
Crime of passion could happen at anytime! There’s no such thing as “mating season” nor is there an “off-season”. For animals perhaps. But not to these animals!
The authorities must take a long, hard look at this problem and take appropriate measures to put a stop to it! Nobody likes “forced” intrusion! Do you?

Dump The Dumb!
I was completely dumbfounded by that political dumb-bell who blamed the New Year and Valentine Day for the dumping of newly born! That was a pretty dumb thing to say, right?
Everyone knows it would take nine months for a woman to deliver and now is only the eighth month! Just take a look at the cute baby in the paper today. If a baby was conceived during Valentine, it would be another three months to go! This dumb-bell should “go first”!
It would be a “big wrong” if babies were dumped but it would even be a “bigger wrong” if we do not dump the party whose politician is more dumb than everyone! Please do not PAS-s the buck.

Hang, Not Help!
That racist principal had that coming! She should be educating her pupils, not “fabricating” and that error had resulted a serious slur in her character! Her attitude is most reprehensible! Many were obviously ruffled by her racist remarks!
Her racial pride did not go down well with many of her students and teachers. That halfwit had not been doing her homework! Thus, she failed miserably! Give her an “F” or maybe more!
We are a racially diverse community but do we need to racially motivate violence or tension? No! Never! We must all join hands and take measures to combat racism! Nobody likes to be victims of racism!
There are a number of racist groups, but I would prefer to call them “racist thugs” who are hell bent on disrupting the peaceful co-existence amongst the various races in this country! Sadly, they are not fully aware of their own shortcomings!
To counter these racist thugs, we too must be hell bent in our attempts to improve race relations! And if we fail to do this, then there will be serious repercussions later! It may require years and years of painstaking patience to succeed because there are really no short-cuts!

"Camel" Currency.
I’m utterly perplexed as to why the “camel” currency was in circulation in one of the poorest state in this country(Malaysia).
Each dinar is worth RM180 and one dirham is RM4.00. If I pay for something that is less than RM4.00, how would I be given my balance? And another “weighty” problem; how do I go about carrying those coins?
Seriously, this is not something to be taken lightly. This is not playing “masak masak”! Many things have to be taken into consideration. All must benefit and more importantly, the usage of this currency in that state must be recognised globally and must be economically sound! Making a “village” transaction is not going to help in any way!
I do not foresee anything great for the moment! More than 1,000 stores would be using the coins for their daily transactions and I wonder how they keep the coins “in one place” after they close for the day.
What have the banks to say about this? Are the banks prepared to accept the coins? Would the bank oblige, say, if someone wants to deposit more than a thousand of the coins?
All I can see is a “sand storm” ahead.

"Tweet" And Turn.
If one is smart enough to “tweet” and turn, the plot of one’s story could very well be dramatic! The ending could be different! And someone has done that to perfection. The truth was “distorted” so to say. A very smart move, indeed!
His story had an odd twist at the end. Many were taken by surprise. By a strange twist of fate, everything ended well. He won single-handedly! And it would take a long time for the truth to sink in! He was able to bring about reconciliation with the facts!
The dust has settled. It’s time to carry on. Whether we believe it or not, it doesn’t really matter! After all, it is his story! I’m off to tweet. Would it be the “Expendables” or “The Last Airbender”? Ha! Ha! Ha!
Help, Not Hang!
If it’s not for the “sins of pleasure”, there would not be unwanted babies in the first place. I believe education has nothing to do with sexual gratifications at all! We are all human beings with animal instinct!
A strong desire or even a sudden urge for sex would place anyone in a vulnerable position (those not married legally).
Stories of babies born out of wedlock and babies dumped in the most unlikely places are rampant in the news. Truth is; there’s really nothing much anyone can do. No amount of education, advice or even “threat” can solve them. Sex, after all, is sex!
Promiscuous behaviour of some women often leads to the birth of unwanted babies. Again, the blame does not rest solely on them! Men are just as guilty! It takes two to tango. So, sexual promiscuity is not going to disappear just like that!
And there’s no denying that “crime of passion” would make one blind to everything else! So, when one is in a “passionate relationship”, what else could go wrong?
There should not be any prejudice. And we cannot just go about “lynching” them because they need all the help and all the support they can get!

The Almighty.
Really, how popular can one gets? By bashing up a 64-year old neighbour? Sadly, caste still exists! The rich and popular showing their might on the poor and down-trodden!
That poor, helpless victim could be as old as the 38 years old bully’s father. What that bully did was totally unacceptable, unimaginable and downright dastardly! Was there anything to prove? I just cannot comprehend why a young man would want to bash up an old man who sells “forks and spoons’ for a living! Can you?
And do not forget that that bully had even threatened to kill and chop the victim’s son! This is something very serious.
I’m equally puzzled as to why the police failed to obtain a remand order from the magistrate when that bully was produced in court the following day. Obtaining a remand order is a simple procedure and yet we see a blunder here! Exactly, whose fault was it? Blame the police or blame the court?

Not So Lucky.
Tee got “teed-off” for misusing his position to secure contracts for his family and cronies. Most of us are sick and tired to hear that there are some “dishonest and untrustworthy” elected representatives within our midst! From the municipal councillors, executive councillors and even our politicians, many of whom became “too rich” within a short span of time.
Many have the excessive desire for wealth and power. Too many are consumed with greed. This is one disease that could never be eradicated. To make your million honestly is something one can be proud of! But by going through the “backdoor” is something else!
I believe many knew of their misdemeanours and the gravity of their offences but still chose to carry them out. When one is not caught, one could deemed oneself lucky! But one’s image would be tarnished and reputation ruined when the hands of the law catch you!
But here’s the catch! Would the authorities play by the rules or practise “positive discrimination”? Do not merely project a positive image only! They must be more positive in dealing with everyone, no matter who! Can the authorities “come clean”? Only they know the answer.

All Eyes On It!
Eye on Malaysia, an eye-catching structure for many but an eyesore for the Malacca state government when its joint venture with another private company went sour!
The Malacca state government was practically “rolling with laughter” when it managed to acquire that Ferris wheel that boasted of 42 gondolas (including 1 VIP gondola) sometime in June 2008. Now when it (the state government) failed to see eye to eye with its partner, the blame game started!
The initial ballyhoo was quickly forgotten and “a friend has become a foe”! Sad, but true! It was a poor investment and with grouses and complaints, the only solution was to terminate the whole venture! The once ravings had turned into ranting!
For all we know, this structure could well be corroded with rust after more than two years near the sea! And we surely know what salt water can do to almost anything!
A lease arrangement was offered to a local company but nothing concrete had come up yet! Money would not roll in if this wheel doesn’t roll soon and the longer it waits then the “squeaks and creaks” would be the only thing we hear when it finally start to roll!

Sugar And Smoke.
Exactly, what has the price hike of sugar got to do with our sugar intake? It was utter nonsense when the Health Minister of Malaysia said with the price increase, there would be less consumption of the “sweet thing” and therefore, less diabetic people!
Look around and see if there’s anything not sweet that we put into our stomach when we’re hungry and thirsty! And by the way, please do not compare us with other countries like, say, China.
Many of us have a sweet tooth and would eat and drink “all things sweet” except sugarless foods and plain water. A life without sugar is not to everyone’s taste! That is the truth and the truth is a “bitter pill to swallow”.
Remember when the packs of fourteen cigarettes were discontinued because that would discourage the young especially school children from picking up the habit? Occasionally, I’ve seen some school boys buying the twenty packs. The government’s good intention had clearly gone up in smoke!
The “problem child” attitude would be very hard to deal with. It would be even more problematic if the government keep pushing and pushing! There’s a limit to everything! The government has to proceed with extreme caution.

She's Coming.
Welcome back, Dr. Pornthip! The wait was worth it! The family of the late Teoh Beng Hock would be just as happy like many of us when you finally come to testify at the inquest on August 18.
Do not worry about “loose talk” if there’s any. But come that day of truth, you must let your conscience guide you. Be prepared for all contingencies and hopefully, the path to the truth would not be bumpy!
You were accused of lying and bluffing but you must take all those brickbats “like a man”. Sorry, “like a woman”!
The unfortunate demise of that young promising man still haunts many. In fact, I saw one big billboard in Ampang with words to this effect. “1Justice for Teoh Beng Hock”. Let’s not jump to incorrect conclusions for now. Let’s wait for Dr. Pornthip’s testimony and maybe by then the truth would be known.

Easy As ABC.
It would be easy as ABC! There must be no ground for complaints anymore! To the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students this year who score 9A+ or more, further studies is assured with this “money from heaven”. Scholarships would be granted irrespective of your background or race! Totally unexpected but with the best of intention from the Prime Minister himself! That was the break everyone was waiting for, for a long time!
I’m sure eyebrows would be raised by some quarters but the government must not be too duly worried about that! Do what’s right and do not let some halfwits dictate you!
A good deed would not go unrewarded. The parents, the students (especially the poor) would not forget easily. A burden off their backs and a great relief for many! But these students must understand that all do not end here. They have to serve the country after they graduate. Many would oblige and there would be some who won’t! These students have to know that the grants belong to the rakyat.
Back to those days where many brilliant students were “left out” intentionally because there were simply not enough funds for every deserving student! Cries of despair were heard everywhere. And how could we blame the students for their mass exodus when they could not depend on the government for aid?
And hopefully everything would change for the better after this. Now go burn the midnight oil! The grant would be right here waiting!
'Caste' Away!
According to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, the Indian community must do away with the caste system in their political arena. Discrimination based on caste would be perceived as bad and outdated!
This is one of the segregation our fellow Indians do not need! So, they need to “caste-away” the idea of making the higher caste the leaders in their politics. Choose not the “untouchables” but the people’s representatives who are sincere in their political endeavours!
The timid ways of doing things are no longer applicable. Blind and brand loyalty is also out of the question. This is a brave new world and brave speeches and sheer bravado would not be enough! It’s your choice. And do not forget that all it takes is a few disruptive politicians to ruin their party!
Politicians come and go. No big deal! No big loss! You and your party lose out when you have an egocentric and self-indulgent leader at the helm or worse, a halfwit! Choose a leader that can be dependable and not one that depends on you (for your vote). In any party, a good leader would be seen as a highly effective “dose of medicine"! That’s the truth!

You Pray. We Play!
Last Friday (25th June), while their fellow brethrens were in the mosque praying, four officers from the Immigration Department of Putrajaya were in the “house of sin” playing!
When the enforcement officers from the Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS) pounced on them, the immigration officers told them they were “checking out” the premise and its occupants! Were they actually doing that or were they actually “checking in”? God must be away whilst the Devil was in!
But the ironic twist to their story was that a customer and a masseuse were found naked! There was no perturbation and no quick getaway whatsoever! Or could it be that they were watching the World Cup or the cups? Naughty! Naughty!
The truth is, many foreigners are on their “hit list”! I do not want to delve any deeper into this lest some people might accuse me of being bias with them and have nothing good to say! Only harsh criticisms for them! Wrong again! I give credit when credit is due! That is the gospel truth!

Have We No Hearts?
I’m so proud to be a Malaysian! And why not? We have scumbags in the Police Force, Rela and also in the Immigration Department! Scumbags are practically everywhere! Even in the construction sectors!
When foreigners, legally or otherwise, were not paid their salaries, how would they survive? Rampant abused of authority by the authorities, exploitations and threats and God knows what else, tell me. Are we Malaysians?
Many of us are not bullies or exploiters! Give the foreigners their dues and then you can say you are a proud Malaysian! Many have families to support and without money, how are they going to survive?
This is a loathsome disease and it must be eradicated fast. We need to treat the foreigners decently and for some troublemakers, send them home and ban them from coming ever again.
Many of them work under intolerable conditions that many of us simply cannot stand. Truth is, we are too pampered and make too much complaints. We are simply too weak! Our overbearing manners and attitudes would not look too good globally. We must stop overdoing them! We need to overhaul! Let’s start right away!

The Lion Roars!
Who says dishonesty doesn’t pay? Our neighbour from down south had bought our “subsidised” sand for a few years now! They knew from day one that was not right and yet they still deal with their business partners from our country! So much for integrity! Really, do our southern neighbour stand up for honesty?
We have so many licences for so many trifle things but we have many laws for nothing! Our neighbour can get away with almost anything and with the hands of our authorities tied, what possibly can we do? The coast is clear! Bring in the sand!
Let’s not just blame our neighbour. Our people are in cahoots with them! Legitimately stealing sand is not a crime. Chewing chewing gum is, in that “lion country”! How absurd! What nonsense!
Being good neighbour doesn’t pay! Anyway, do you know how much do they pay for the raw water? We are practically giving out charities to our rich and developed neighbour! We have suffered the indignity of being too accommodating to our neighbour far too long! Our neighbour is one of the world’s leading industrial nations and they can pay us higher!
What a nerve! Sometimes, the insolent behaviour of our southern neighbour would get on our nerves! We are not the nervy type or are we? Let’s have a one-track mind and not let our southern neighbour dictate to us! Let’s call the shots! We have shown our gentlemanly side once too often and it’s high time we changed that!

For Heaven's Sake!
Is this the will of Heaven? Would Batu Caves become “a shambles of batu” if the terrorists had their way? And the Kuan Yin temple in Air Hitam in Penang would suffer the same fate too! Heaven knows!
Kudos to our police for arresting a Malaysian and nine foreigners linked to the Al Qaeda and JI under the Internal Security Act recently.
I would not want to go to any religious site if there are fanatics who are prepared to blow themselves up to reach martyrdom! For people who are hell-bent on destroying shrines, temples or any holy places for their religious beliefs is simply beyond believe! It would be a very despicable act on their part! Heaven forbid!
Intelligence sources said these desperadoes had even infiltrated some universities to recruit students for their “dying” cause! Do not support their ignoble motives! I pray and hope our students would be able to read them like a book and not be easily influenced by them, failing that they (the students), would be in bad books!
We must all reject their ideologies and make their efforts end in failure. Our ideologies differ and it would be an idiocy to support them! We want to live life to the fullest and there’s no shortcut to Heaven!

Go The Extra Mile.
A few years ago, I rented out my house but I did not face any problem because the tenant was a real gentleman in every sense. Everything was in black and white. Three months deposit and another RM300.00 for water and electricity.
A specified date was agreed for rental payment and I made sure he paid on time. That was one problem solved. Next, I would, without fail, called up the utility companies in the middle of every month to check on the status of my bills. That way, I could keep track on them. Once a while, I would drive past my house to “double check”. That was done mostly at night.
The second tenant was okay too. She did not give me any problem. I guessed I was just lucky. Only the third tenant gave me a slight problem but I nipped that in the bud. I did not let him dictate to me. One month default in payment, I gave him the ultimatum.
After the final settlement (I made sure he did not owe me), I returned the deposit one month later through his bank account. That was one way to safeguard my interest.

BB David.
Big Brother! Bloody Bully! You can call “David” what you want but that doesn’t change a single thing. He is beyond control and there’s nobody in the world that can do anything about that!
He gave a clear demonstration of his might again! He seized another vessel in international waters and towed it back to his territory. Of course, he did that with the help of his army, not with a sling! And that was one scene that defied description!
His cruel and heartless method used had provoked the ire of many peace loving people throughout the world! Many protest demonstrations and marches were held, condemning his unwarranted action! Immediate action must be taken to stop his onslaught! His guilt is beyond all doubt! It’s an open-and-shut case! But the sad truth is; “Goliath is dead”! Is there anybody stronger or braver than David? That remains an open question!
Many suffered at the hands of this oppressor! Even if you consult the oracle, it would be utterly useless! BB David has evolved! The Gods have spoken!

ABCC (A Beastly Crime Committed)!
The sad truth is; there are many civil servants who are not fit to work, especially when one is in a position of power and authority! No sex, “muka m(asam)”!
Nothing in this world is free and some would take the opportunity to strike while the iron is hot! And that poor, married woman in Malacca was within striking distance of that scum! It was very brave of her to retaliate and strike back at that scum! Better late than never!
It is only fit and proper for the authorities to take immediate action on that scum! They must do as they think fit. The authorities must take a resolute action! A resolute approach! And if the punishment meted out is puny, then many rakyat would become increasingly disenchanted with the present government. The authorities must check this insidious disease before it turns into a pandemic outbreak! The government need to check for signs of “infestation”! All reprobate behaviour must be curtailed immediately!
The repulsive habits and actions of scum in the government have earned the wrath of many! The rakyat would be reproving a great deal more if these crimes of passion cropped up every now and then! The rakyat are filled with repulsion! Count me in!

The Bodyguards.
The simple truth is; whatever excuses or reasons given by the chairman of the Selangor Local Government Committee, the ratepayers would not be too happy about them! It would be ridiculous to swallow them whole!
If indeed the president of the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) was “threatened” in any way, then the police should be informed and let them handle that, not the enforcement officers, whose task are primarily to “issue summons” to the “poor and defenceless” rakyat!
What about the safety of the enforcement officers? What would they do if they were confronted by thugs or hired killers?
The more I read (in today’s papers), the more confused I became. What has the aggressive efforts by the council to crack down on illegal trading, gambling and entertainment activities got to do with the president? Was he the only one who decided on everything? What about the committee, don’t they have any say at all?
The MPSJ assistant public relations director, in coming to the president’s defence, said the move to have enforcement officers stationed nightly at the president’s house was cost effective.
And another councillor who sits in the finance committee confirmed that the move (to protect the president), was approved in September 2008. She said it was only a temporary measure until the situation goes back to normal!
I’m much more confused now! Only from May (presumably this year) they introduced the enforcement master plan, they claimed, caused dissatisfaction among the parties involved in illegal activities. But the protection for the president started in December 2008!
If you care to remember, Bukit Beruntung was not densely populated two to three years ago and was in a “hulu” area! Now I think I know the “real” reason, do you?

Kickamania.
Permit me to kick-start right away!
Remember the Assistant Superintendent of Police who got his kicks from drugs? Is he still alive and kicking? Everything seemed so quiet now!
What about the halfwit from PERKASA who kicked a fuss or two recently about the Chinese voters in the recently concluded by-elections? Has he finally kicked the habit of kicking people around with his blunt words and actions? Or has this halfwit realised that it would be useless to kick against “the rule of democracy”.
And strangely enough, this halfwit remained silent when someone was kicking and screaming, accusing another component party of interfering with another component party’s internal problems!
Do you know that we often kick our heels while waiting for our turn to be served in the government offices? Is that the norm, I wander. I still do! It’s time we kick some butts!
How would the government intend to tackle the issue of kickbacks given to civil servants in the course of their work? While waiting for the government to kick some ideas around, let’s wait and not kick up a storm, okay?
In the days to come, there’ll be many unpaid leave, emergency leave and more “sick leave” because many are eagerly anticipating another kick-off! Place your bets and good luck! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Give It Up! No Way!
The truth is, I don’t see anything wrong with some civil servants in the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) owning one low-cost flat each. Even with their household incomes at more than RM2500.00 per month, many are still “poor”. I can safely say many do have problems like anyone of us.
The rising cost of living would have taken a sizeable chunk out of their salaries! Some have aged parents to look after, siblings to take care of and the monthly bills to settle and instalments for the little luxuries that many of us cannot live without!
Only the pretty low types, the “them and us” kind ought to be ashamed of themselves for purchasing those low-cost units meant for others! The excuses they gave were pretty low-down and were cleverly disguised too! Please don’t conceal the truth and I would also find it hard to swallow the truth, if there was any at all! Please don’t lower yourselves, your dignity and lose the respect of colleagues, friends and the public!
For those who had abused their positions like the two senior MBPJ officers, the only way to set things right is to call the MACC (Malaysian Anti Corruption Council) to investigate! And the MACC must not take a low- key approach to these blatant abuses of authority!
It would be a futile attempt to ask them to give up their units voluntarily because that would only come to “dead-ends”! Everything was “signed, sealed and delivered” legally! It was definitely a mistake made by the previous administrators and there’s nothing anybody can do about that now!
I deplore the fact that there are some people in top jobs who stoop so low and misused their positions dishonestly! Such dishonourable motives! Or could that be greed?

For The Future!
I’d read some of the comments on the third amnesty that is soon to be given to the illegals. To tell the truth, I simply do not understand why you guys picked on the Indonesians only! There are so many illegals of different nationalities right now in our country!
Let’s not leap to the wrong conclusion and again, don’t make any unfair judgement on these illegals yet! Of course, the majority are from Indonesia. Everyone knows that!
You guys do not seem to agree on the “money thing”. Of course the money is OUR MONEY but what choice does our government has? We are the “Good Samaritan” and we had helped so many unfortunate people in so many countries before.
Let’s now take those illegal Indonesians as an example. Those caught without proper papers would first be sent to the detention camps. They might be there for sometime and it would only be fair to “treat them right”, right?
Who knows, one day we might find ourselves invaded by another country and we might want to call upon the Indonesians for assistance. One good turn deserves another and they might be our brothers-in-arms. And you tell me our country has no vision! Ha! Ha! Ha!

'High' Cop.
Highlighting another bad cop would earn me a broadside with some of our fellow bloggers again! The simple truth is- I have no enmity whatsoever with good, honest cops. Only the bad ones remained a complete enigma to me! That is the truth!
A 40 something cop, an Assistant Superintendent attached to the Sungai Buloh air unit was arrested in a pub, sometime ago, together with some of his friends, for allegedly “high on drugs” and he even unbuttoned his jacket and revealed the gun tucked near his hip! His stupid and blunted action would probably land him in hot soup.
That deplorable incident at the pub would tarnish the image of the police! It’s high time the appropriate authorities put an end to his shameful conduct, his shameless behaviour! The Deputy Public Prosecutor must decide after the submission of the investigation papers by the police!
And make no mistake about that! Do we tolerate such bad behaviour in the force? The authorities must stop at nothing to stop the rot! A stern warning must be sent to this halfwit! After all, wasn’t he digging his own grave in the first place? Has this halfwit forgotten his pledge, oath and honour?
I’m sure many of us must have come across in the media about the crimes committed by some cops in the force. They are simply an effing nuisance in society! When will they ever learn? They simply do not fear the Almighty! Or are they the “all mighty”?

Sleepless Nights In Sibu.
Some people would have sleepless nights in Sibu! The result of the by-election gave many a nasty jolt! Many seemed serenely unaware that anything had gone wrong until now!
It's rather late in the day to say you're sorry- the harm's done now. The folks of Sibu had spoken! Their woes should have been taken care of a long long time ago! The irredeemable mistakes had cost some people dearly. It was irresponsible of them to leave the Sibu folks behind. The delay in solving their problems or none at all had made everybody strained and irritable!
Their sudden irruption into Sibu did not make the folks there any happier! And now, who's having the last laugh? They must also learn that it's no use blaming other people for their own mistakes!
Evading everyday issues, evading resposibilities would only widen the rift! Eventually, the confidence in them would evaporate into thin air. If they do not arrest this situation now, I'd say they got a less than even chance to survive the next round!

Don't Mess With This Dragon!
Congratulations to the Chinese team for their triumphant outing by winning the prestigious Cup for a fourth consecutive time and their eighth since they made their entry in the series in 1982. They deserved that win albeit receiving brickbats from some people.
Lin Dan, with a formidable combination of intelligence and determination, was not his "usual self" after he won his matches, hands down (against Taufik Hidayat)and that was a "real disapointment". And China's first doubles, Cai Yun-Haifeng showed their superiority and clinched the "all important" second point after a thrilling three matches! And Chen Jin, China's second singles, sealed the fate of the once mighty Indonesians after an initial scare!
Ater China's victory, there was a "wall of silence" in the Indonesian camp and their very vociferous countrymen fell into a dead silence. Clearly, the writing is on the wall! The Chinese shuttlers are supreme! This dragon breathes out fire! And who will be the next dragon slayer?

Bridesmaid No More!
Congratulations to the Korean Uber Cup players for their historic 3-1 win over defending champion, China. Those gritty ladies deserved that win, hands down! That was one long wait worth waitng for!
The Koreans would remember that victory for a long, long time to come and that "nightmare" would forever haunt the Chinese. In sports, one cannot win all the time.
Indubitably, it was their indomitable courage, will and spirit that brought the Great Wall crumbling down! It was a sheer delight to watch them play against the "invincible" ladies of China. Long rallies, lops, beautifully executed drop shots and the sharp smashes. Were the Chinese women gradually losing their grip?
It was better to lose one's grip on the game rather than losing one's head! It was very unsporting by one of our sports commentator (TV 1) who was intolerably rude when he took a swipe at the Chinese team with his pointed remarks after they lost. In common decency, a good commentator does not do that!
Doing a running commentary in any event, one does not take side! Please run your commentary in a professional way and learn to control your emotion! Can you do that for the men's final today? It's the Chinese against the Indonesians! Good luck to both teams and we hope to see top flight action!

Mayday! Mayday! May 13.
I heaved a sigh of relief when the purported May 13 rally was called off! Whether held in an indoor stadium or "just a peaceful gathering" by the roadside would make a lot of people uneasy!
The government had taken almost half a century to conciliate public opinion on that "historic" day and yet there were some halfwits who tried to "honour that day"! If the organizers thought that all Malaysians were for that rally, then they had got another think coming! How thoughtless were those halfwits!
Calling off that rally was the most sensible thing to do because it was not readily accepted by most Malaysians! Organizing a rally with "just one race" participating in it is simply an unjustifiable risk! Don't take unnecessary risk and then suffer unnecessary pain later!
We're living in a very unique country and it is unquestionably the best! Our pluralist society is the envy of many countries in the world. To a considerable extent, we're still doing okay, expect for some minor hiccups here and there! The government can still make further improvements to the laws on racial discrimination! Let's improve on that and move on!
And can we live together in political, national and economic unity? If we can all do that, then it would be a remarkable achievement!

'Ni Hau Ma?'
In the near future, we would be greeted in Chinese at the MACC offices throughout the country! More than 400 applied for the 40 vacancies as investigating officers and junior investigating officers.
That was indeed a break-through! A break with tradition! It was good that the MACC had broken away from the traditionalist attitudes that so many of the government institutions still hold on to! Let's hope that was done in the best interest of the nation. It would also be interesting to see how it goes from there.
Besides getting the Chinese "involved" in this institution, they should also involve the Chinese more in decision-making! The Chinese must also be "personally involved". It would be a "useless existence" for the Chinese if they were to remain as pawns or what we Malaysians love to say- "ikan bilis", "small fry", whatever!
I deplore the fact that there are so few Chinese in top jobs! Truly, many Chinese were denied the opportunity but let's now give those deserving ones the "lost" opportunity. Let's end the "policy of desegregation" among the races! And just how do we relate to "mixed marriages" when this policy still exists?
We can if we have the courage and dogged determination to look beyond "colour of the skin". Discard outdated beliefs that only Chinese are business people and the rest of our fellow brethrens are "kakitangan kerajaan"! This widespread racial discrimination has to stop immediately in order for us to move forward! Many of us are becoming increasingly disenchanted today. The feeling of disenchantment with the present government is sadly true!
The deep, growing disillusionment with the government's policies must be addressed without delay. The government must be scrupulously fair to all as promised and it still got a fair bit to do! All we want is to see fair play! So, please no foul-ups with foul plays.
We need to collaborate fruitfully with all in order to make a success of this country! We have to make substantive changes and everyone has a part to play. Let's not waste our breath talking nonsense and doing nothing like some halfwits who have been doing all these at every other day!

Not Clear About Nuclear.
Let's be clear about one thing. Do we need a nuclear plant? And what guarantee do we have on it? This piece of news must has sent shock waves rippling throughout the country. This morning, I read in the paper of a fellow Malaysian who highlighted the pros of this energy. He might be right to a certain extent but why take the risk?
There are still other areas to source and harness for this energy. We mustn't rush into this and moreover, the construction of this plant would cost a whopping RM20billion! The DG of the Atomic Energy Licensing Board said at least 2.6sq-km of land (about the size of 314 football pitches)is needed for the plant and its buffer zone. I'm not ridiculing the government in any way, but let's be true to ourself. This is a "skyhigh" expectation!
We had hospital which became "patient" itself. It needed patches here and there. Stadium roofs that collapsed under their weights and bridges that gave way! Do you truly think we can manage a nuclear plant? Everything looks good in the book but in reality, I think we're not ready for that yet!
It would be a grave mistake if we're dying to get into the "nuclear race"! We shouldn't be too hasty in deciding to built it. We don't want the government to apologise yet again for another "accidental" disaster!
The government must not be stubborn or have an intransigent attitude when the lives of our fellow Malaysians could be at risk! This is one calculated risk not worth risking! We could very well be digging graves later.

One Shot...One Apology.
I was a little hesistant to write on this! One or two of our fellow bloggers who recently said I hated the entire police force might want to shoot me down! Truth will prevail, eventually! Ha! Ha! Ha!
That 3.30am incident in Gemencheh where a 17 year old youth was shot for taunting the police (true or not?) was in fact an "armless" and harmless youth. A shot in the dark and no eye witness! Easy for cover-ups just in case!
The state police chief, SAC 1 Datuk Osman Salleh was quick to defend his trigger-happy police personnel! That halfwit fired a warning shot and the bullet "strayed' and hit the victim's hip! Shouldn't a warning shot be fired into the air? And when would the police ever learn to "shoot straight"?
Luckily for this unlucky youth, he survived through this harrowing "shooting" experience! But when the time comes, he would eventually have to "shoot it out" with the police again! But this time it would be in court!
An apology would be insufficient. A young, innocent life could have been lost! In would not be wrong to say many of us have lost faith in the police! I'm not here to discredit the force! But if incidences of this nature keeps cropping up, many would be extremely depressed with the police. The police must not be negligent of their duties and responsibilities!
We're not a diseased society and the police must, at all times, act with considerable discretion. Discretion is the better part of valour. With this in mind, I'm sure the "shooting satistics" would be drastically reduced!
Police are not tyrants or despots. But they still have to toe the line when they carry out their duties. Stay out of trouble and things would work out fine.

Vote Me...Or Else...
For the last few days, I was pondering over the uncalled-for, half-witted outburst, by a halfwit from Perkasa, accusing the "other Malaysian" (om) for their diminishing support for the Barisan candidate at the just concluded Hulu Selangor by-election!
If one cannot stand the heat, do not stand near the fire! I believed that by-election was "truly" democratic and there should be no doubt about that! The folks there had picked their choice and the winner would stay, the loser, just walked away!
After the "disappointed" win, that halfwit, instead of thanking the folks there, blamed the om for their treacherous actions and asked the government to rethink about helping them. But let's not be too unhappy about that! It was a mere bagatelle on that halfwit's part! We need to ignore his moralistic attitude as there was really nothing to that! That halfwit was intolerably rude that's all!
We can change the government anytime through democratic process. This is the right of the rakyat! But that halfwit did not seem to think so. His outburst might even jeopardize the chances of Barisan in the coming by-election in Sibu.
Would the support of the om diminish in Sibu this time, knowing that the om throughout the country were understandably annoyed? If "second best is the best" in Sibu, we would know who to blame, right? If that is true, then, by this time, everyone knows all the ballyhoo of that halfwit had not gone down well with the om from day one!
This would not be seen as a political fallout but some sort of "counter measure" against a veiled attack by that halfwit! May that be a bitter lesson for anyone with a loose tongue! Bad mouthing is not good nor appropiate! So shut your mouth and mend your wayward ways!

A Deadly Weapon.
True to form,it was so easy to shift the blame to anyone but yourself! The police were quick to accuse Aminulrasyid Amzah (the teenager who was fatally shot by the police)as a criminal and on that fateful day, there was a "deadly" weapon, a parang, in his car! What is the rationale behind this accusation?
If the parang was a weapon, then there would be many more deadly weapons in the car! The steering lock, the jack, the screw driver and even the hockey stick! So does anyone need permits to carry all these "weapons"?
Now, the only weapon left would only be the "truth" of Azamuddin Omar, 15, the friend of the deceased. He's only 15, a minor, and would his "truth" carry any weight? Would we be hearing the truth out of him? Would the moment of truth come? So,please tell us truly what happened on that fateful night!

Cop And Robber.
First, I would like to say “Well done” to the RELA captain who opened fire on the robbers who came to rob at his house. This is what RELA is all about and not like someone who thinks I think otherwise!
The IGP said crime rate has been reduced and I thank God for that! But I now think otherwise about some cops who resort to “destroy the image” of the police force by their sheer lunacy! Oh God! Why?
Let's play 'mata mata' (cop and robber).Did I mention 'robber' again? Ha! Ha! Ha! This is a new version, not those we played when we were little tots, with wooden pistols or even those water pistols!
This is a "game of intimidation". I am the cop and I am also the robber! The game is simple.
An Indian foreign worker was waiting for the bus, somewhere near Batu Caves, to take him to his workplace. And there were four Indonesians with him at that time (very early in the morning). The cops came and "cornered" them! They were asked to show their papers and after some deliberation, two of the Indonesians were asked to move along! That poor, legit Indian and the other two Indonesians were not so lucky!
These three poor souls were bundled into the patrol car and driven to a police station somewhere and that was where the intimidation started! The “robbers” now demand money with menaces and that poor, frightened Indian was absolutely terrified and had to “pay a ransom” of RM200.00!
What has happen to some of our police personnel now? Aren't they ashamed of their actions? These black sheep of the force are to be slaughtered and have their hide hung high for everyone to see! These clowns must be thinking that these foreigners are their “easy” meal-tickets! And surprisingly, these clowns are also “skilled negotiators” and some do have a systematic way to induce fear with the foreigners.
And what did the Chief Secretary to the Government said about corruptors? “Don’t tolerate them!” For their infraction of the rules, they are to be punished accordingly. If the appropriate authorities are firm and resolute, then the days of the corruptors are numbered! Would we be able to see that day?

The 'Untrue' Story.
Was she, Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand, a Thai pathologist, an expert in forensic science “digging her own grave” after gotten engaged by the Selangor Government last year? She was afraid for her life and she was not telling anything! She wanted an official guarantee of her safety from our government and the Attorney-General’s Chambers before she testify’s at the late Teoh Beng Hock’s inquest!
But everyone knows that nothing can be guaranteed! The only thing guaranteed in life is DEATH! She made an about turn at the last minute and many were kept completely in the dark! And she cannot whistle in the dark because she had been “advised” by our Malaysian Government to “stay put”! Whether that was true or not, nobody knew for sure. For now, the truth remained buried.
There were many loose ends to tie up but apparently, many things seemed “tied-up” at the moment! A verdict had not been delivered and there would be many “restless” souls wandering when all these would end.
Our government had assured her “all the safety” that would be required for a witness. And she was still reluctant to come for the inquest! Why? She might be safe here (in Malaysia) but what about her family (in Thailand)? A threat should not be taken too lightly.
TBH might be long gone (sorry, no offence intended) but his family is still grieving and it grieves me to say that somebody was not telling the truth at all!

From RELA To Robbers!
'Jangan bergerak! Ini "opera-isi poket" Loosely translated as "Operation to fill the pocket". Doesn't that ring a bell? Some personnel from the Ikatan Relawan Rakyat or People's Volunteer Corps (RELA) were "moonlighting" to "fill up their treasure chests"! GotGunBeres boss! Ha! Ha! Ha!
Armed with guns in their hands, these "bad" clowns threatened, extorted and robbed the foreign workers! Their unwarranted actions were suddenly thrown into sharp focus and the only sane thing to do was to disarm them immediately and put them out of action! All 400 of their guns were"surrendered" to the police.
There were many reports and stories of their misdemeanours in the media and those found guilty must be man enough to face the music. Those misfit clowns must go! They are a total disgrace! Would it be possible to place them in Pulau Redang to protect the corals and the environment there? They are to "look after" and not "go after"! Yes to brooms! No to guns!
The Home Ministry can forget about formulating new guidelines on the issuance of duty firearms to these volunteers assigned for street patrols. Soon, we will have taxi drivers with handguns! Supposing that you are wrong, what will you do then, Home Minister? You need to be sure as hell before you decide. One wrong move and it could very well be a fatal decision.
We do have some problems here and there but they're easily surmountable! Stay united and be one. There must not be any sneaking suspicion with one another. With that in mind, our problems might just be solved!
Many clowns in the volunteer corps have the tendency to over-react when they carry out their responsibilities. Some of these clowns think they're "high and mighty" and foreign workers are "easy meat" and can "devour' them without even battering an eyelid! I find these clowns irresponsible behaviour beyond belief! Let's all pray for these benighted clowns lest they betray their own principles and our trust.

It's Your Choice!
It's D-day tomorrow! For the winner of this by-election, everything would be going his way and for the loser, it's his "bye election"! So, I would like to wish them all the best first before I start to ridicule or snap at them, so say some of our CB bloggers about me. Don't be ridiculous guys, you really don't know me! Ha! Ha! Ha!
For "Kamal, Alan or Nathan" or simply the 3-in-1 BN candidate, he's your "friendly neighbourhood spidey". All clean, no garbage, all smiling and always waving. I'm not pelting but give praise where it is due. He may be a first timer but he's no pushover! His thrust into the "limelight" was something totally unexpected! So, it is inappropriate to call him a lightweight! He may be lighter when you compare him to his opponent. Ha! Ha! Ha!
From day one, the lawyer "buruk" was ridiculed and snapped at (of course not by me) but by some others who think he's not fit to be a wakil rakyat for the folks of Hulu Selangor! Why, yes, why dig into his past? He readily admitted to his drinking and gambling days when he was younger. All those "hangover" days were in the past. Someone was given a second chance and why not him? Yeah, why not him?
Know something? He's one of those imperturbable people who never get angry or upset! You can say what you want or impugn his motives, his reputation but he would simply ignore you! Don't you dare forget, he's a wealthy lawyer. And it would be hopelessly impractical to think that anyone could finish him off just like that! Don't be too heavy on him. It's political suicide!
So to the 64,500 voters in the Hulu Selangor constituency, PANDAI PANDAI-LAH PANGKAH (vote wisely). Pick the one, not someone, who can come up with the goods!

Ha! Ha! Ha! .
What a joke! Sorry, I meant what a jerk! No matter how prepared this clown with his "hello" speech when he decided to join another party, I'm sure many of us has come to a common conclusion- this clown is a sore loser! Sulking for days after being left out of the team.
Just a little disappointment and he left his "family" like a crybaby! How could this clown be given the responsibility to look after his constituency, ie, if he has one. One musn't forget that he failed twice!
For every excuse this clown gave, there was always an indication that he was always out of favour. He did not get that special favour and thus, the neurotic outburst! Frankly, that was not a judicious decision at all when he bade goodbye! Of course, there were many before him and surely there would also be many after him! Sadly, this is one of the many maladies of our present politics! It's better we get rid of these inconstant clowns before they create more problems for us. Rightly, these clowns are regarded as politicians with incorrect behaviour!
Do we need these clowns? I don't think so! Many had sullied their names and honour! Let's not bemoaned them. No big loss anyway! And there are many who are ready to step into their shoes at any given moment! Like the Malay proverb: 'Hilang berganti, patah bertumbuh'.

All In Good Faith.
When one loses faith, everything is lost! The inter-faith committee "had reached deadlock" even before it could get off the ground! Some egocentric clowns felt uneasy because this committee is under the "other" Malaysian in the Prime Minister's Department! Yet again I would like these clowns to look at the bigger picture! Have you clowns lost faith in him? The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department is only responsible for unity and national integration! I'm sure he would not be bold enough as to step out of "his boundary"! He knows his limitations. Many "other" Malaysians know their limitations too!

Grow Up, Please.
It’s a little sad isn’t it to see a 22-year old suffering from growth disorder. It is even sadder to see his single mother, who has to take care of him, suffering from asthma and psychiatric problems. But the saddest part is that the state Welfare Department “looked the other way”. This poor chap was denied the aid needed and that irked me right to the bone!
It’s time for the appropriate authority to “grow up” and help a fellow Malaysian who genuinely needs help! It aghast me even more when the taxpayers money were blatantly used by some government departments like buying a screw driver for more than RM200.00 and a computer that cost more than RM42,000.00! This is really “living beyond one’s means”!
These wanton waste of the rakyat’s money are serious illnesses and drastic measures are needed to “cure” them! The government must prevent these “diseases” from spreading! Now the shoe is another one big problem! The list goes on and on….
Something positive must come out from the state Welfare Department. S. Avinesh Singh is not asking for the sky! He merely wants a little aid. I’m sure that’s not too much to ask. Why do you guys in the state Welfare Department “look down” on him? He barely weighs 25kg and he’s not even a metre tall! I’m sure this small plea from him is not a tall order! Grow up guys and just give him some aid!

Island In The Sun.
The worldwide poor would not be able to set foot on the island of Redang (Pulau Redang) if the government of Terengganu has its way! As I’ve said before, a clown should remain in the circus but here’s one clown, a figurehead, really, who’s on the loose! Anyway, why did this clown choose to make waves?
Pulau Redang is one of the most beautiful islands in the world (10th spot). Many holidaymakers, rich and poor alike, had stepped foot on this island and hopefully, many can still continue to do so if this island remained as it is!
The excuses of poor sewerage system, the improper disposal of waste and the indiscriminate “killing” of the corals were the rising tide of discontent by this clown! Many holidaymakers, especially divers, would not be too happy and now they would have to swim against the tide! And if things go according to this clown’s desire, I’m afraid this island would eventually face a natural watery grave!
This clown’s argument does not hold water. To protect the environment, the corals or whatever, some strict guidelines must be adhered to! Stopping the poor from holidaying on this island is not a very smart idea at all! This clown has “muddied the waters” with his not-so-bright idea! Everyone has equal “visiting rights” to this island!
For once, this clown needs to debunk the myth that he is the only one capable of conserving this island and its surroundings. He must be reminded yet again that no man is an island. Everyone has to play their part! Simple as that!
It would not come as a surprise if one sees a signboard that says: ‘THE POOR NOT ALLOWED! PLEASE PROCEED TO THE NEXT ISLAND. THANK YOU.’ So much for Malaysian hospitality, or worse, stupidity!

We're So Sorry!
You better believe it! An apology (with a RM10,000 compensation) from one of the "most-feared" authorities in this country, the Immigration Department (ID)! And there were two more similar cases. The director-general, Datuk Abdul Rahman Othman, readily admitted that these were due to administrative foul-ups.
All these "administrative nightmares" could easily be avoided if everyone in the ID are competent and efficient! Miscommunication with the other authorities was nothing but a lame excuse. Nothing can excuse such unfortunate oversight! These might have far-reaching implications later on. But I don't think anyone of us can envisage that, just yet!
But let us not overreact when things go wrong. So long as we readily admit to a mistake, then we are only being honest with ourself. His sincerity is beyond question. He's a man of egalitarian principles! I wonder just how many heads of departments are like him! Stand up and be counted!
Problems would crop up now and then but if there is efficiency in handling the crisis, no one would quibble with that! Agreed?

Racing Against Time.
Come April 2-4, we will be able to see our lads in action! Let's look on the bright side. Lotus is a remarkable car. Only some thought otherwise! Let's combat public ignorance and prejudice. Keep the momentum and hopefully we will witness Lotus's miracle of modern technology.
Lotus had been totally misconceived by some of our very own people! Grossly misrepresented as a "born loser"! But make no mistake about it. After two races, Lotus is seen as the "new kid on the block"! A modest improvement so far, nothing sort of prodigious achievement. Realistically, Lotus is still not with the "big boys" yet! This is unlikely to happen quickly. Slowly but surely Lotus would realize this dream.
Ignore strictures. Ignore the prophets of doom. Lotus needs to prove many critics wrong. In order to do that, Lotus has to "get closer" to the leaders with every race! Debunk the "greenhorn" myth! Burn some tyres along the way. And who knows, a miracle might just come along!

Kiss, Kiss, Kiss.
Now that the MCA election is over, it is time to make peace. It is time to bury the hatchet! It is not the time to bury your opponents who lost! Now, all must kiss and make up, not kiss and tell!
This new linchpin must not flex his political muscles. He must not forget that he DID NOT have a complete stranglehold on the delegates, not even a majority! 1411 delegates did not choose him! Going by any standard, this is a "weak" win! Anyway, a win is still a win.
The President said he's all for collective leadership. He has to "distribute his spoils" fairly and to see that no one sees red! This distribution might just put him a dilemma. It is not easy to please everyone. So whatever decision he makes, or whoever he chooses, everyone must abide by his decision. There must not be any attempt to discredit him!
Any whoever is caught with a machiavellian motive, he must be given the boot immediately! No one must achieve promotion through nepotism! The package deal must be accepted by all and whoever disagrees, the only option is to kiss and say goodbye!

From Kathmandu With Love.
Yes, we do have a problem here! 'Doctor from Kathmandu' Isn't that sickening? And what have the local authorities got to say about that! Of course, there'll be many excuses from them! If only our authorities are doing their work with honesty and integrity, we would not encounter these problems.
We have authorities that have eyes that do not see, ears that do not hear and mouth that do not speak! The prophetic warnings from the rakyat often go unheeded!
Most of the time, the rakyat faced "red tapes" with the authorities! Many of us are trying to earn an honest penny and ironically, there would be obstacles in our path! To even start a "kacang putih" stall, we need to get a number of approvals from the authorities. And that is no "kacang putih" at all! It's a real puzzler!
The Star had even highlighted about the Nepalese in Kuala Lumpur. They are "robbing" us of our rice bowls. But sadly, that is not the only case. We can see many other foreigners doing businesses in so many places in OUR country! Countless! And there are some of our people who are deliberately making money out of our miseries!
If the authorities have our interest at heart, then they need to do what's necessary. I'm sure they know there are many foreigners who have shops, stolen our businesses and are within our midst. Our authorities are just a bunch of hypocrites! They lack courage and determination! Can we blame them? After all, they're just '9 to 5' civil servants! Yeah, why push?
The locals feel intimidated by these foreigners most of the time! The lackadaisical approach to counter these foreigners by the authorities is like trying to nudge us into accepting their (the foreigners) presence. The ones that need to be nudge now and then are the authorities themselves! There's no sense of urgency at all on their part. Why kill the goose that lays the golden eggs?
We've been led up the garden path for far too long! It's time we put a stop to their disgraceful ways! Let's start by teaching the authorities on how to discriminate between right and wrong.

The 'Swingers'.
Many countries have many different cultures and we are no different here! We have, in Malaysia, the "SPs" culture. SPECIAL PRIVILEGES, SELECTED PERSECUTION, SELECTED PRIORITY and even the "SWING" POLITICIANS!
Just take a look at some of them. And what bull when some say they have "SOKONGAN PENUH" of the rakyat when their "political" life hung by the thread! With these clowns do you honestly think they can be of any assistance to us? They can go hang for all I care! They're not worth our votes! I'm hanged if I'm going to vote for them in the next GE!
They have to do SOME PENANCE of sort to atone for their "sins". They need to SHOW PENITENCE or else Hell is the only "SAFE PLACE" for them! The rakyat would eventually reject them and Earth would no longer be Heaven for them! For SACRIFICING PRINCIPLES, they will eventually pay a heavy price.
A simple and straight-forward piece of advice. Pause for a moment and think! It'll do you good! Don't forget, only monkeys swing from tree to tree! Your despicable actions do not go down well with the rakyat. You would hear nothing but snide comments from us, the very people who voted you in and, eventually, out!
You might be very good at sniping others to SCORE POINTS for yourself but many of us are simply not interested in what you can say. You score when you deliver! You must SOLDIER PATIENTLY and not bask in your SILLY PRIDE!

T T T T T
Resigned? Rift? Or probably a rumour? Whatever! Saw that piece of "rift" news in one "reliable" paper! I wondered how that piece of information was 'leaked out" and the DAP adviser, Lim Kit Siang urged the Prime Minister to do something about that!
Of course both the Home Minister (HM) and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) gave the news the brush-off! The HM stressed that there was no conflict and all of us must respect their respective positions. The HM gave a very defensive answer! Why?
Many of us know that the IGP cannot be promoted any higher but not the HM. He could still notched up! It would be very unlikely now as the 'top spot" is not vacated yet! So, they cannot simply resign at their whims and fancies! That would be foolhardy.
They have no choice but must "look good" in public for their own good! After all, they're professionals! The stakes are high. And many of us know that we would not be able to demystify the workings of the government. The only thing we need to do now is to wait "till they tell the truth!".

Male Or Female?
I'm sorry to hear that Ganes, a lorry driver was a figure of fun when he was accidentally listed as "female" in his passport. This blunder by the Johore Immigration Department was something out of the ordinary! But this "female" can take consolation as his passport has a "short shelf life". On the next renewal, I'm sure this oversight will not recur.
The deprecatory remarks, the "harassment" by a personnel of the ID as alleged by Ganes and if that is true, some form of action must be taken! NO civil servant has the right to push, threaten or bully ANY MALAYSIAN as he/she so desires! Even NON-MALAYSIANS are not to be treated that way! But many of us know that there are a lot of them around! It is impossible to put a figure on the number of these people!
Make no mistake, we are practically facing cock-ups in a number of government departments. You figure out which are those! It would be a very demoralizing experience if we happen to pay them a visit. To counter this, we drop a hint and then tell them to drop dead!

On His Majesty's Secret Service.
For the first time, after ascending the throne in November 2001, the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has appointed five people as Justices of the Peace (JPs). His Majesty wants them to be the "no nonsense" JPs.
All these JPs would be expected to work as a team and "doing their own thing" is strictly a no no! No self interest but must serve in the best interests of the people. Serve with the best of intentions! And also, their professional integrity must be well integrated at all times when dealing with the people! Their reputation must be intact.
They must also stay on the right side of the law. When carrying out their duties, the rightness of their decisions have to be all paramount! And to a certain extent, the people would be enormously grateful, enormously thankful. Self-discipline is the only way to earn the respect of the people! Think about that!
Be men of honour and you would then be able to avoid listening to a few home truths, if there's any, about yourselves! You would then have no qualms sleeping tight every night!

Stage A Comeback!
I don't understand why some politicians cannot get over with it when everything is over for them! Take a look at our immediate neighbour, Thailand. The former prime minister, Thaksin Shinrawatra who was ousted by the military in 2006 has not given up yet! He still has his die-hard supporters, the "men in red", carrying out the "bloody" job for him! He can still count on their loyalty! How many of us can do that?
And talking of a comeback, we have one such in our own backyard! I'm talking about the former president of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), staging a comeback, albeit on a "smaller scale". He said he's the saviour of MCA. How true is that, nobody really knows. How do we measure the loyalty of his supporters? Are they going to don red? Or spill blood?
It's true, everyone has his democratic rights. Rightly or otherwise, if one has "taken a backseat" and why, out of the blue, wants to be in the driver's seat again? He was able to explain with admirable lucidity the rationale of his decision! He could be pushing his luck a little too far!
If MCA is on "shaky ground", can he move heaven and earth to "stabilize" it? It would be better to let the present leaders handle the problems that have besieged MCA for sometime now! The only logical thing for him to do now is to STAY DOWN and STAY OUT!

Dive For Your Gold!
Another sports sensation! This time it is Pandelela Rinong, a teenage diving star from Sarawak! She had qualified for two events at the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) which will be held in Singapore from Aug 14-26. The 3m springboard and the 10m platform.
She has made quite a splash in the two individual disciplines recently. If she maintains her form, she would be going places! She has to 'dive' for the golds in the coming YOG. She has to thrust deeper into her reserves to make "waves"! There are many good divers around and she needs to give her best!

'Flat Broke' For A Flat!
It was a piece of good news that single mother, Maureen Lee would be getting a flat soon. She would be reunited with her son. A fairy tale ending for her but for many others throughout the country, that would not be likely! Many poor are still homeless! The allocations of many flats were not done according to regulations. In fact, many of the local councils are not doing their work responsibly!
Many "poor" flat owners are living beyond their means. Some have "transformed" their flats into "banglows". Some of us live in terrace houses and we pay 'cukai pintu' accordingly but these "poor" banglow owners pay "rumah pangsa" fee! The same applies to the payment for IWK. RM96.00 for terrace houses and RM24 for these "poor" banglow owners!
It's about time all local councils need to radically rethink and find solutions immediately! The majority of these councils had screwed up from day one! Please do not tell me all the local councils have only a rudimentary understanding of the laws and by-laws! The time has come for action.
The report of "unfair allocations" puts the onus of allocating without bias for all firmly on all local councils! They must be simply fair! Do not put yourselves into any invidious position. Many people would not like that because we are not morons. You bet, many of us out there are acute observers! You're being watched! Simple as that!

Why The Jittery?
Don't get all agitated Inspector-General of Police (IGP). Please do not throw tantrums like a child! It was not a big deal if some media or someone from the 'underground' had said you've resigned.
If you've resigned as speculated, so be it! And if you haven't, all of us know of your impending retirement. I don't get it! You said Malaysia was heading for disaster if the 'underground' could manipulate the IGP's post. What kind of disaster are you talking about? You even said you "felt sorry" for this country for the false information. Sorry for what?
It seemed that you are adamantly defending your post and surprisingly, the Home Minister (HM) had taken sides. The HM said China Press will be heavily penalised if that information was not true! Jumping to the wrong conclusion is not a very wise thing to do. You guys should know better!

I'll Be Damned!
This is another classic case of the Subang Jaya Municipal Council(MPSJ)enforcement officers being damned if they do not ask for a bribe. Two owners of a tuition centre in Serdang Perdana, Seri Kembangan were harassed and intimidated by six of them on March 2. Or were they?
But Datuk Adnan Md Ikhsan, the council president said there were instances where many impersonators were 'making their rounds". This could very well be true! Whether that's true or not, that is a different story!
Many of us must have encountered enforcement officers from different authorities in our daily lives. Each of us have a different story to tell. But all the endings are almost similar. Whenever one is 'cornered', the easiest way out is to 'cut corners'. It is a "win win" situation! We save some money and save a lot of time! That is a deliberate way to settle things. Whom do we fault then?

Let's Beat Them!
Get ready your steering locks, your hockey sticks or your baseball bats! We're going to beat our disabled fellow Malaysians! Let's behave like the two Australians teens, aged 15 and 16 who viciously attacked a disabled Canadian tourist at a Sydney suburban train station!
Is this the way we're going to treat our fellow Malaysians? To 'take care' of them? It was extremely disturbing to read in the media that a KTMB driver assaulted and verbally abused one on March 4. That was simply an unwarranted action on his part! Till now, the police had not taken any action for reason best known to them!
There will be many 'genuine' excuses and moreover, this assault might not be a priority! But you can always find them in many 'easy spots' to...you know what! There goes my hard earned money! Gotmoneyberes!
Many of us are outraged by this incident. It shouldn't have happened in the first place! Our fellow Malaysians here are not a downtrodden minority! They are to be assisted in whatever ways possible. We cannot raise our hands on them! We can only lend a helping hand. Is that too much to ask?

Of Past And Present Chinese
I'm Chinese but I can barely comprehend the Chinese. In ancient China, during the Zhou Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty(1122BC-256BC), the feudal lords constantly fought each other for supremacy until most of them proclaimed themselves the title of 'Wang'(King).
The Chinese secret societies, the Ghee Hin and the Hai San took their warfare from their motherland to Malaya(The Larut Wars) that started in 1861 and ended with the signing of the Pangkor Treaty of 1874.
Then we saw the costly full-scale civil war between the China Communist Party(CCP) and the Nationalist Party(Kuomintang)that was ended in 1949 by the Chinese Communist leader Mao Zedong.
Now we have a 'war' looming. The Malaysian Chinese Association(MCA) has seen the majority of their office bearers resigned. Come March 28, there will be winners and there will be losers. In the meantime, preparation for this upcoming battle would 'draw blood' The situation is going to be tense. We will see all the candidates 'sharpening their weapons' and to use them when the time is right!
I hope there would not be any backstabbing! And no aiming or shooting at the Achilles' heel! No offence meant to the President of MCA. Many of us want to see an end to this war that shouldn't have started in the first place! So, what is done,is done! It cannot be undone. Battle it out fairly or you would earn the wrath of many! But let me jolt you a little, lest you have forgotten! You have MCA- Make Chinese Angry.

That Sinking Feeling!
Do we need sailors who quickly abandoned their ship when everything is not going their way? Sailors who are self-centred, self-contradictory and worse, selfish! I'm talking about our YBs who quit their parties and are proud about that! And please wipe that smirk off your faces! You should be ashamed of yourselves.
I'm not aligned to any party but I say we need to re-educate these clowns and they need to re-examine their beliefs and values from time to time lest we replace them the next round! To those guilty YBs, you're real experts at 'smokescreening' your ulterior motives! You clowns have minds like sieves! You forget easily!
Respect must be earned. The rakyat expect help and support from you but you've let the side down! The rakyat would eventually make short work of you!
Exactly, are these sailors waiting for the 'other ships' to pick them up when they had decided to 'walk the plank'? The only wise thing for the rakyat to do is to 'drown' these renegades! Even better yet! We feed them to the sharks! They're not a great loss anyway. Good riddance! It's better this way because at least we would not be short-changed!

No More Tiger Show!
Tiger Woods has lost his 'tee(th)'. The tigers in a zoo in the southern part of Peninsula Malaysia would soon lose theirs too! Starprobe revealed that the 'lion king' of the said zoo was up to his monkey tricks due to a lack of enforcement! Because of its special permit, this zoo has been breeding and selling tiger cups to interested parties.
This lion king must be a sly old fox! Besides disposing of the cups, they were rented out and were even photographed for a fee. He might be getting the lion's share! He seemed to be playing a cat and mouse game with the authorities when Starprobe let the cat out of the bag!
Like a snake in the grass, he would cleverly slither out of harm's way! "This zoo needs the money to feed the animals",he said. Feed the animals or feed himself? Like a snake sloughing its skin, he is also trying to slough off the zoo's public negative image! An exceptionally smart ass. Shall we give him a friendly bear-hug? Not everyone is a moron, right?

mStar.
Mingguan mStar, the weekly Malay paper of The Star has made its 'debut' today. This is not a Bahasa paper at all! It is more like a gossip mag. There's practically no news worth reading! A quick browse and that's it! There's hardly any 'worth mentioning' news.
Can we just leave the 'bahasa side' to the real bahasa papers? I'm sure many Star readers would not even give it a second look! I'm not saying that paper is not good, it is just that this is not the 'right place' for it! Do a survey and get the public's opinion on it. Gauge the response and take the rest from there.

'Under' Takers
Much as I want to believe, Malaysians have yet again shown the world that we, Malaysians, 'tak boleh'. We're so predictable! Nothing surprises anymore!
The 45,000 vacancies 'up for grabs' for locals in the nasi kandar and Indian restaurants were 'thrown down the drain'. A measly 90 inquired but none committed themselves! Malaysians have expressed their point again!
The government, the Malaysian Muslim Restaurant Owners' Association(Presma) and the Malaysian Indian Restaurant Owners' Association failed miserably to make inroads with the locals. Guys, this is not an intricate plot or something! You can do better than that! Of late, you guys are all in a bit of a predicament!
While waiting for another way to bait the locals, what are you(the relevant authorities) doing in the interim? Are you going to launch a major offensive now? Without workers, restaurants are as good as closed and nobody likes that! So, whatever decision you take, you must be rational!

When We Trust Completely
For whatever reason, nobody can take away the life of another person. That, to me is insanity! An insane desire or decision to commit a murder is simply madness!
I felt sad when I saw in the papers of a Malaysian (an Australian citizen)who was murdered by his own friend and his wife. The wife of the murderer was a colleague of the deceased. What has this world come to? Are we no more human?
I just don't get it! These murderers even offered to accompany the deceased's casket back to Malaysia for burial! What kind of people are they? May they rot in hell!
Between the devil and the angel, I would rather choose the devil because I would at least know what to expect!
Temperature Rising!
This is the year of the ferocious tiger. You can say that too, about the weather in our country! We are experiencing a heatwave. A sweltering heatwave! We can tame the tiger, but can we 'tame' the weather? Can we use divine help?
I'm afraid nothing much can be done about the weather. We just have to weather that out. Do not blatantly waste water. Water is precious and it's the life-saver. Use water wisely when you need to and save it when you have to! Let's save the water for 'a raining day'!
Can we blame the trainees who flared up at the National Service(NS) camp at the White Resort Camp in Penang? Their temperatures rose because they were not getting 'decent treatment' for almost two weeks now! I'm sure most of them would feel the heat by then! The authorities concerned must act and turn down the heat immediately!
The food at the camp was also mentioned. There must not be any excuses and the Camp commandant, Mej Rahidin Jalil claimed that it was all due to the current hot spell! He failed to understand that these two 'hot items' have generated a lot of heat for the parents of the trainees. He was trying to take the heat out of the situation by 'pouring out' flimsy excuses one after another!
Shall we all join in prayers and look to Heaven for a sign?

We're Only Human!
The 'soon-to-be implement' half-day course for the employers and their new maids would most probably be shelved because there would be too many excuses from about everyone. Many are not too happy with the proposal of the Minister from Human Resources.
