Yes, we do have a problem here! 'Doctor from Kathmandu' Isn't that sickening? And what have the local authorities got to say about that! Of course, there'll be many excuses from them! If only our authorities are doing their work with honesty and integrity, we would not encounter these problems.
We have authorities that have eyes that do not see, ears that do not hear and mouth that do not speak! The prophetic warnings from the rakyat often go unheeded!
Most of the time, the rakyat faced "red tapes" with the authorities! Many of us are trying to earn an honest penny and ironically, there would be obstacles in our path! To even start a "kacang putih" stall, we need to get a number of approvals from the authorities. And that is no "kacang putih" at all! It's a real puzzler!
The Star had even highlighted about the Nepalese in Kuala Lumpur. They are "robbing" us of our rice bowls. But sadly, that is not the only case. We can see many other foreigners doing businesses in so many places in OUR country! Countless! And there are some of our people who are deliberately making money out of our miseries!
If the authorities have our interest at heart, then they need to do what's necessary. I'm sure they know there are many foreigners who have shops, stolen our businesses and are within our midst. Our authorities are just a bunch of hypocrites! They lack courage and determination! Can we blame them? After all, they're just '9 to 5' civil servants! Yeah, why push?
The locals feel intimidated by these foreigners most of the time! The lackadaisical approach to counter these foreigners by the authorities is like trying to nudge us into accepting their (the foreigners) presence. The ones that need to be nudge now and then are the authorities themselves! There's no sense of urgency at all on their part. Why kill the goose that lays the golden eggs?
We've been led up the garden path for far too long! It's time we put a stop to their disgraceful ways! Let's start by teaching the authorities on how to discriminate between right and wrong.
