We Still Need Them.

That's right. We still need them. Foreign maids that is. I disagree with the executive director of Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF),Shamsuddin Bardan. Day care centres are only day care centres. They are strictly business orientated. With many children around I'm sure most of the children would not be properly looked after. Ever heard of children being put to sleep with a little help from the sleeping pills? It is never easy looking after children all at once.

Frankly, how many of our locals want to be domestic helpers? Most Malaysians are pampered. Most of us want the easy way out. Domestic helpers is the last thing on our minds. This is a fact. Domestic help covers a lot of aspect. The maids do not only looked after the children. They have the washing, the drying, the cleaning and the cooking to do. A maid's work is never done. It's a shame we pay minimal wage for their maximun output. We are living in the twenty-first century. Maids are no slaves neither are we masters! We need to be better hosts to help our fellow humans earned a decent and honest living.
